International Women’s Day 2026 #GivetoGain

Over the weekend, we celebrated #InternationalWomensDay2026 with the theme #GivetoGain.

In malaria elimination, progress has always been built on the generosity of knowledge, mentorship, partnership, data, resources, and time. When we intentionally invest in women’s leadership, visibility, and opportunity, we multiply impact across science, policy, and communities.

Women, particularly in malaria-endemic and low-resource settings are disproportionately affected by malaria yet remain underrepresented in research leadership and decision-making. To eliminate malaria, we must give intentionally:
