Dr Ashley Osborne is a molecular epidemiologist with a background in molecular biology, human genetics, and malaria parasite genomics. Her current research revolves around developing novel molecular surveillance tools to decipher the hidden biology and epidemiology of Plasmodium vivax infections, as well as working with in-country collaborators to explore the genomic diversity of Plasmodium falciparum infections in Ethiopia.
She is a Consultant Molecular Epidemiologist at the Menzies School of Health Research, while based in London, United Kingdom. Within ACREME, Ashley assists fellow researchers and team members with projects in the malaria surveillance theme, centred around the development and implementation of new molecular tools for the purpose of monitoring transmission dynamics and drug resistance.
