Sonakshi Madan

Sonakshi is a PhD student researching parasite genetics in malaria endemic regions, supervised by Prof. Alyssa Barry and Dr. Kirsty McCann. She is particularly interested in infection and immunity dynamics as transmission dips, and aims to understand factors driving resurgence of Plasmodium falciparum. She comes from a Biotechnology and engineering background, and has previously worked on a variety of projects ranging from metabolomics and viral protein localisation to glioblastoma survival and malaria genetics.
